Account & Data Deletion Policy

Instructions for permanently deleting your financial records, local database, and Google Drive cloud backups.

Application: Pocket Log (com.jihan.pocketlog)
Developer: Jihan Khan
Compliance: Google Play User Data Policy
Effective: October 6, 2026
1

Overview of Data Storage

Pocket Log does not operate centralized user accounts, user profiles, or cloud databases. There are no remote usernames or passwords stored on developer servers.

Your data exists exclusively in two potential places:

  1. Locally on your Android device: In the internal private sandbox of the Pocket Log application.
  2. In your personal Google Drive account: Solely if you opted into Google Drive Cloud Backup, where snapshots are stored in your hidden drive.appdata folder.

Total User Control: Because we do not retain any of your records on external servers, you have the immediate ability to permanently wipe 100% of your data at any time without waiting for developer action.

2

Deleting Local Device Data

You can delete your local financial records using any of the following methods:

A Granular Item Deletion Within the App

You can delete individual transactions, debt/loan profiles, categories, or balance sources anytime:

  • Swipe or tap on a transaction and select Delete. The item is moved to the Trash bin.
  • Open Settings > Trash and tap Empty Trash to immediately erase all soft-deleted records.
B Complete In-App Reset

To purge all records and restore the application to its clean installed state:

  1. Open Pocket Log and navigate to Settings.
  2. Select Data Management.
  3. Tap Clear All Data (or Reset App).
  4. Confirm the prompt. All transactions, debt ledgers, categories, wallets, and PIN codes are immediately wiped.
C Android System Storage Wipe / App Uninstall

You can also delete all data via Android system settings or by uninstalling:

  • Go to Android Settings > Apps > Pocket Log > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage.
  • Alternatively, simply Uninstall Pocket Log from your device. The Android OS immediately removes all local SQLite databases, AES encryption keys, and preferences.
3

Deleting Google Drive Cloud Backups

If you enabled Google Drive Cloud Backup, your backup file is stored exclusively within your personal Google account. You can permanently delete it via either of the following steps:

1 Method 1: Direct In-App Deletion
  1. Open Pocket Log and go to Settings > Backup & Restore.
  2. Under the Google Drive section, tap Delete Cloud Backup.
  3. Confirm the action. Pocket Log sends an authenticated delete call directly to Google Drive API, permanently erasing the backup snapshot.
2 Method 2: Directly via Google Drive Web Interface
  1. Open Google Drive on your computer.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon (top right) > Settings.
  3. Click Manage Apps in the left sidebar.
  4. Scroll down to find Pocket Log.
  5. Click Options next to Pocket Log and select Delete hidden app data.
4

Revoking Google Account Permissions

If you wish to completely disconnect Pocket Log from your Google Account:

  1. Visit your Google Account security permissions page: Google Account > Third-party apps & services.
  2. Click on Pocket Log.
  3. Click Delete all connections that you have with Pocket Log.
  4. Confirm the prompt. Google will immediately revoke all access tokens.
5

Data Retention Period

Retention Period: 0 Days (Immediate Eradication).

Because Pocket Log does not maintain developer servers, remote databases, or archival tapes:

  • When you delete records locally or wipe app data, the data is gone immediately.
  • When you delete your Google Drive backup, Google processes the deletion immediately in your account.
  • No residual copies, logs, or analytics records exist on any developer infrastructure.
