By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Pocket Log mobile application (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue using and uninstall the App immediately.

Pocket Log is provided to you for personal, non-commercial expense logging, debt ledger management, and financial record-keeping purposes.

You are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download and run the application on Android devices that you own or control. As an open-source project, source code usage is additionally governed by the corresponding open-source software license published in the project's official GitHub repository.

Pocket Log is an informational, self-tracking tool only.

• The App does not offer certified accounting, financial planning, taxation, legal, or investment advice.
• All totals, spending summaries, debt settlements, budget warnings, and PDF reports generated by the App are calculated solely based on the data manually entered or imported by you.
• You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all calculations before making financial decisions or submitting financial statements.

Because Pocket Log operates with a local-first design, you retain complete sovereignty and responsibility over your device and data:

• Device Protection: You are responsible for safeguarding your Android device through screen locks, PINs, or biometrics. We recommend enabling the built-in App Lock feature in Pocket Log for added security.
• Backups: You are solely responsible for creating regular backups (either via Google Drive Cloud Backup or manual JSON/CSV exports) to prevent data loss in the event of hardware damage, operating system corruption, or device loss.
• Data Integrity: Pocket Log is not responsible for errors arising from incorrectly entered amounts, conflicting imported files, or tampered database files.

Pocket Log allows you to save backups to your Google Drive account using Google's official Drive API:

• Use of Google Drive is subject to Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Pocket Log does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of Google Drive APIs, Google network connectivity, or Google cloud storage quotas.
• The developer does not have access to your Google Account or backup files and cannot recover backups if you lose access to your Google Account or delete files from your Google Drive.

All trademarks, logos, visual designs, icons, and branding elements associated with Pocket Log are the intellectual property of the developer (Jihan Khan) or their respective licensors.

The underlying source code is made available as open source under the terms of the repository license. You may not misrepresent the origin of the software or use the official branding without authorization.

POCKET LOG IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE FREE OF BUGS, ERRORS, OR INTERRUPTIONS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE PROMPTLY CORRECTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE POCKET LOG.

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published directly on this website with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use of the application following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
